Season's come and go but good eating is here to stay.  Do you know your growing seasons?  Local farmers work hard to produce fresh, quality produce for our island families.     Different seasons and buying local,  bring fresh and healthy choices that benefits all of us.    Don't miss out on these winter specialties and make sure to try some before they are gone!   Pak Choy, Kai Choy, Shanghai Pak Choy, Won Bok,  Broccoli, Chinese Parsley, American Parsley, Green onions and cabbage are just in time for the holiday season.  Try layering Pak Choy, instead of Romaine in salads.  Braised Choys and broccoli with tofu make great salads too.  Add them to soups or to jazz up saimin.  Stir Fry with Kalua Pig or stuff leaves with pork hash and steam. Look for these items at your local grocers and restaurants.  Spring is coming and that means Melon Season! Stay tuned for more!
